FARMER’S WEED-IT UPGRADE PAYS OFF<\/span><\/h1>

In Biloela, Central Queensland,\u00a0Raymond Wilkie\u00a0is farming over 3,500 hectares of cotton, sorghum, mung beans, wheat, barley, and chickpeas. With expanding operations and tougher weed challenges, Raymond needed a smarter solution\u2014and found it in the\u00a0WEED-IT.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\nWithout the WEED-IT, I probably wouldn\u2019t be able to farm the way we do. It\u2019s a game changer\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Raymond first adopted WEED-IT in 2019 during a dry spell, when blanket spraying wasn\u2019t worth the cost. The results were immediate: significant chemical savings and better control of hard-to-kill weeds like feather top and fleabane.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fast forward to today, and Raymond has upgraded to a 36-metre WEED-IT Quadro with ISO compatibility, section control, and coverage mapping – a bigger and smarter move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe chemical savings were unbelievable. And the job it was doing was chalk and cheese compared to blanket spraying,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Raymond also credits Lachie Coom from Croplands for making the transition smooth. From quoting to calibration, Lachie\u2019s support helped tailor the machine to Raymond\u2019s controlled traffic setup and transport needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe don\u2019t think any other technology replicates what WEED-IT does. It works really, really well for us,\u201d Raymond said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
