NELSON HARDIE

ORCHARD SPRAYERS

Croplands and Nelson Mfg. Co., Inc. partner to expand footprint in the Australian and New Zealand nut and tall tree crop markets

Nelson Hardie Mfg. Co., Inc.,

Nelson Mfg. Co., Inc., based in Yuba City, California, was founded in 1968 and started building the Nelson Hardie sprayer line in 1982. Originally established as a welding and repair shop, Nelson Hardie grew and established strong roots in manufacturing high quality, long lasting and dependable horticulture units including orchard sprayers, tractor cabs and pruning towers. They are now one of the leading manufacturers of air blast sprayers in the USA and have a firmly established footprint in the Australian tall tree market.

Both Croplands & Nelson Mfg. Co. Inc., use common componentry and share a dual focus on optimising technology through set-up, calibration and after sales support. We are committed to a seamless transition for current owners and look forward to further embedding the Nelson Hardie range into our local markets.

Robotics Plus PROSPR

AUTONOMOUS SPRAYER

Robotics Plus Prospr

Prospr is a robust, autonomous, multi-use hybrid vehicle platform that significantly increases efficiency across a variety of crop tasks. The unique modular architecture means you can rotate multiple tools and attachments. The all electric autonomous, multi-use hybrid vehicle platform increases efficiency with intelligent spraying for grapes, apples or tree crops.

We’ve put our hybrid power and drive system through its paces and can achieve over 70% reduction in fuel consumption when compared to traditional diesel tractors doing the same job.

Dr. Alistair Scarfe, Co-founder and Chief Engineering Officer at Robotics Plus

INTELLIGENT & TARGETED SPRAYING

  • Deploy a range of spray configurations
  • Adapt to various crop types, growing formats, heights and the day’s job
  • Control spray rates and air speed in zones or by fan to maximise spray efficacy
  • Maximise coverage with fine mist, turbulent air, superior droplet formation and spray deposition

Q SERIES SPRAYERS – Q4 / Q6

  • Q4 and Q6 sprayers are made up of two or three Quantum™ fans on either side
  • Best suited to grape apple or tree crops

Q SERIES SPRAYERS – Q8

  • Q8 sprayers are made up of eight Quantum™ fans, four on each side
  • Best suited to apple crops

HIGHLY MANEUVERABLE FOR INCREASED PROdUCtIVITY

  • Minimum headland requirement of 7.1m for row-to-row turning due to electric steering, independent motors and the vehicle turning on its rear axle
  • Cover ground faster, maximising productivity and spray time with a small footprint and unique steering configuration
  • Deploy your fleet in a greater variety of applications as the minimum row spacing is 1.83m
  • Reduce ground compaction with the lightweight design and unique tire and wheel configuration

A FLEXIBLE PLATFORM AND TOOL FOR ANY JOB

  • Support multiple machines which can be controlled by a team of two operators with Prospr’s interface
  • Adapt to different crop types and application with the modular architecture

HYBRID TECHNOLOGY FOR EXTENDED OPERATION

  • Prospr is an all-electric autonomous vehicle, with on-board power generation
  • Operate the vehicle for extended periods with no need to plug in due to the four tier diesel generator
  • Experience superior torque and control from the electric drive motors
  • Minimise fuel consumption due to the electrically driven systems including tools
  • Extend the range of the vehicle with regenerative braking and high capacity batteries
  • Reduce ground damage with the all-wheel-drive system with independent wheel motors, which gives sufficient grip and control

MagrowTec

Spray tech kits

Magnetic Assist Technology that improves your spray.

Croplands has partnered with MagrowTec to bring magnetic spray assist technology to the Australian and New Zealand markets. MagrowTec is manufactured in state of the art facilities in Ireland. The technology is designed to retrofit on any boomspray regardless of make or model.

MagrowTec technology uses permanent rare earth magnets to expose crop protection fluid to static non-uniform magnetic fields under appropriate flow conditions. This has the impact of affecting the physical properties of the fluid that determine MagrowTec’s characteristic spray droplet formation, droplet dynamics, and droplet adhesion. Critically, MagrowTec technology allows growers to use much smaller droplets without the drift and waste normally associated when using these smaller nozzles.

We cut the drift 50-60%, increased coverage and increased the productivity of my spraying practices.

Andrew Kennedy, Grower, Mount Gambier, South Australia

INCREASED PROFITABILITY

  • Reduced water rates
  • Reduced labour costs
  • Reduced energy costs
  • Reduced Inputs (Chemical Savings), reduced frequency of spray due to better coverage

INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY

  • Increased spray windows
  • Increased spray hours
  • Increased disease control
  • Increased yield

BETTER COMPLIANCE

  • Supports environmental legislation
  • Supports integrated pest management plans
  • Better operator health & safety

BETTER ENVIRONMENT

  • Reduced environmental contamination
  • Improved water management

Simply Add MagrowTec To Any Sprayer

Existing Croplands customers are reporting better coverage and as a result are maintaining current application rates instead of increasing them.
